We had an exclusive interview with French organizations making a difference with dogs and the environment. Our FRR team spoke to water rescue Terre Neuve 06 president, Jean-Christophe Meyer. The team joined conservation diving group Fonds Bleus on its innovative mission to clean up the seafloor. And one of the most im-paw-tent and unique assets is a pack of lifeguard dogs. The aquatic professionals utilize trained canines, namely Newfoundland dogs to help pull divers, boats, and litter to the shores around Antibes, France. Garbage found in the ocean includes plastics, metal debris, mostly iron, and a number of different items. Meyer says Newfoundlanders are impressive swimming athletes who cuddle. These amazing teddy bear-like canines can pull boatloads of waste and groups of people at the same time. They are strong, all-weather natural lifeguards with webbed paws. Since last year, Meyer's team and Fonds Bleus have worked with the dogs during several exercises to clean the water.

Thanks to Terre Neuve 06, Fonds Bleus, and of course the furbabies for their paw-esome work! This new program provides yet another example of how amazing dogs are to humans and the Earth. And they just gave this crew a newfound love for the dogs.
